Assign an internal implementation owner and require a shared task list. Confirm prerequisites, permissions, supported sources, data flow, retention and contact routing. Pilot a representative group, review results and expand with approved change control.

Record every excluded system and why it is excluded. For critical operational or clinical assets, get the appropriate owner's approval before testing or enabling disruptive actions. Use authorized validation methods, not improvised attacks.

Acceptance checklist:

  • Critical scope reconciled against the agreed inventory.
  • Required data sources observed and data-health monitoring assigned.
  • Supported test event reaches the correct operating team.
  • Investigation and escalation follow the agreed process.
  • Customer duties and reporting are understood.
  • Material exceptions have owners and closure dates.
  • Recovery hand-offs are demonstrated or explicitly scheduled.

Service “go-live” and buyer acceptance should be defined, not assumed to be the same date.
